Ron-Ron suffered a fall of some sort, apparently while carrying a box Christmas night, and was forced to miss last night’s game at Sacramento.
Given the player, and the sort of bizarre story, some eyebrows have been raised at the explanation, but the L.A. Times says Phil Jax buys the story:
Jackson didn’t seem to suspect any storytelling in Artest’s case.
“My interpretation is an accident happened and he fell down and ended up in the hospital and came out of it with stitches and sutures,” Jackson said matter-of-factly.
Word is Queensbridge’s Finest will be with the Lakers in Phoenix tomorrow night.
