Cedric Benson – Cedric Benson could avoid suspension

Cincinnati Bengals RB Cedric Benson could avoid a suspension based on the information following his arrest in June, but the NFL is still looking into the situation, according to Joe Reedy, of The Cincinnati Enquirer.
Huddle Up: Benson was arrested for allegedly punching an employee of a bar in Austin. NFL Commish Roger Goodell is surely reviewing Benson's file carefully, given his two prior arrests as a Chicago Bear. Benson was cleared in both those priors but we all know Goodell doesn't need indictments or guilty verdicts in order to slap down a suspension. There's a reason why backup RB Bernard Scott is such a popular fantasy sleeper.
