FORT MYERS, Fla. — Shortstop J.J. Hardy and second baseman Orlando Hudson, the Minnesota Twins’ new double play combination, are getting acquainted.

Free agent second baseman Orlando Hudson would like to sign with the Nationals, according to the team’s website. And the Nationals would like to sign Hudson.

After hitting .267 with 38 homers, 105 RBIs and a .398 on-base percentage in his first season with the Nationals, first baseman Adam Dunn could stick around beyond the 2010 season.
